LuLu

I've tried several times to write something about Lulu for the Rainbow Bridge but I hadn't been able to do it.  So I'll try it again.

When I first saw Lulu on our adoption web site I wasn't looking for another sheepie.  After all, I already had five sheepies and besides she was a senior.  But I couldn't get her off of my mind.  I started wondering what if Sally and Payton (my sheepies already at the Rainbow Bridge) were sending me a message.  I began to believe that Sally and Payton felt like I was a good Mom to them and they knew I could take good care of Lulu and her special needs.  So Lulu became a part of our family.  Less than two months later we evacuated Slidell, Louisiana because of Hurricane Katrina.  We ended up in my home state of Illinois where Lulu napped endlessly on the couch, sunbathed on the deck, chased the other sheepies at amazing speeds, soaked up enormous amounts of love and enjoyed her golden years and I was able to be a stay-at-home Mom to spoil her.  Even though Lulu was only with us for a few, short years we miss her terribly.  If I close my eyes I can still feel her silky fur on my fingers.  The only regret that I have is that our time together was way too short.  I miss you girl!
