Available for Adoption

Watson in Louisiana.

Adoption pending!

Watson was a stray found by a kind sole who just wanted to save this wandering pup from the streets. Watson was thin, full of burrs (even had a thorn in his paw), mats and his eyes has lost their "life". The person who found Watson got in touch with our rescue group because he could not handle any more animals.

We put him into foster care and the work began. After his big fun night playing with his foster family's female dog, next up was a visit to the vet. The vet didn't have great news. He was underweight with Hookworms and Heartworms. He also needed full shots and neutering. So, the hookworm treatment and neuter began, along with a bath to clean this fella up!

It was determined that he needed to get over his neuter, before work on the heartworms could begin. He will need to be strong for his HW treatment. He will start heartworm treatment on August 23rd. Heartworm treatment will continue over the next 4-6 weeks.

Watson has a TAIL which make him cute and unique and you can really see how happy he is. He is around 50lbs, approx. 15 months old, super friendly and loves people and seems to be all around great guy. Foster mom is working with him on housebreaking.

Mr. Albert in Alabama.

Albie has an adoption pending!

Mr. Albert (aka Albie) is 6 1/2 years old. His owner had to turn him in because of less play time and more work and finances also played a role. Upon our acceptance of him, we found out he had Heartworms. He started Heartworm treatment 8/9 and should be available for adoption around 9/21. He is a VELCRO dog. His foster mom describes is "I'm gonna have to get another pair of flip flops because he stands on mine he's so close". He appears to be good with kids. He is living with two other male dogs and so far so good. He is ready for a home. He could stand to add some more weight after his Heartworm treatment. He is approx 65lbs.
