Lily
Lily- Fairhope, AL
Lily also came from the same breeder. Unfortunately, she was given to this breeder from another breeder with a broken leg but was still used to breed for puppies. When she did not provide any litters, she was given to us. She came with severely matted hair. We got her groomed to make her more comfortable. Then she developed an ear hematoma and had an ear infection. While we were hoping to treat the hematoma with meds, she did require surgery. The spay and hematoma surgeries were done at the same time. Sadly, in addition to her broken leg, she also had heartworms. The heartworm treatment took 2 months. She is currently in between treatments (she has back-to-back shots scheduled for the end of February). Throughout all her medical treatments, she was just a lovely, sweet dog, no accidents and just needed to be with people. She lived outside in an outdoor kennel with Stetson with just a little time with people. (More on
Stetson soon- he also had heartworms and was owner released to us). Lily was provided downtime after her first big Heartworm treatment, and then transported from Jacksonville, Fl where she was had been fostered. She is now an only dog, with all the attention and love in her new home with mom Carolyn (our previous treasurer for this rescue) in Fairhope,
AL. She is now officially Heartworm negative!
