STETSON now SPENCER- Tampa, FL

Stetson came to us along with Lily from a backyard breeder in South Georgia. Used for breeding, he lived outside in a large kennel, typically with a female. Stetson and Lily were fostered separately, but both sadly had Heartworms and had to be treated for them. We also got him UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped, but he stayed in foster care for well over 3 months due to treatments. He came in a matted mess. His foster mom managed a doggy day care so he she was able to see him interact with other dogs and he was very dog friendly, cat and kid friendly. After treatment we found his new dad John a few hours from where he had been fostering. John is a lawyer who usually has 3 sheepdogs but currently has 2. He brought his 2 pups to meet Stetson and they did great together. John adopted Stetson, renamed him Spencer and now they go on big walks, play and go to work with their dad!
